302V8 swap, 4-Spd, 2WD, Classic Truck/Rat Rod Project Picture(s) and Description:

1966 Ford F-250 ¾ ton Custom Cab, Camper Special pickup truck with a clear Ohio title. Equipped with a modern 302 V8 engine swapped in place of the original and a 4-Spd manual transmission with low ratio granny gear. Engine modifications include: serpentine belt conversion, dual exhaust, a Holley 650cfm 4bbl carb, and a MSD 6200 6A ignition system with a MSD Blaster 2 coil. The clutch, starter, and alternator have also been updated as well. Other updates include, power steering, a newer bench seat from a Bronco, and blue molded carpet. The truck is an original west coast truck, originally purchased in Oregon, hence the OEM west coast mirrors. The truck was recently repainted (6/2004) in a period correct OEM ford color. The paint is in good condition and was just buffed and waxed this summer, however, there are some noticeable imperfections in the paint when looking closely, along with several small dents and scratches. Currently, it is in running and driving condition. The engine runs strong throughout the RPM range and the carb is well tuned. It cruises easily at 70mph on the interstate, with a top speed around 90-95mph, braking is about par for a vehicle with 4 wheel drum brakes (non power), and handling is about what you would expect for a 44 year old truck. The gauges work, so does the heater and both windows roll down too. The vent windows are in working condition as well, and the glass is free of any chips or cracks. Rust is coming up in the inner fenders and floorboards, as well as the tailgate. The floors are perforated through on the outer edges, near the door still.
