International Harvester 1960 International Harvester R190 project tow truck model R195A 450 engine Picture(s) and Description:
1960 INTERNATIONAL HARVESTER MODEL R190, converted into a tow truck. This is a restoration project truck, that is a gas motor "Red Diamond 450" with a 5 speed trans and 2 speed rear axle. The truck was originally used by a moving company for moving trailers around their lot, then in the late 60's was sold to a company in Wheaton, IL. That shop used the truck for their tow truck after putting on a retired trucks wrecker body with a 40,000 # Tulsa Winch with 3/4 " cable. This truck had the engine rebuilt about 12 years ago, ran good when last driven about 7 years ago. The truck has sat untouched for the last 7 years, so the mechanical condition at this time is unknown. The previous owner said the truck could pull anything, not real fast, about 50 mph top speed. The front bumper is 1/2 plate and super heavy. The truck will have to be towed from its current location and should be considered as a project non running or driving at this time. The floors of the truck will need repairs, the paint is not shiny. See pictures and ask questions if you have any. Inspection is welcome before bidding, but if you are the winning bidder, you own it. International buyers are welcome, I can assist with shipping, but shipping costs are buyers responsibility. $500 deposit due within 48 hours of auction close, full payment due within in 7 days unless other arrangements have been made in advance.
