Lincoln ZEPHYR 5 WINDOW KUSTOM CHOPPED RAT HOT ROD LEAD SLED BARRIS COUPE PROJECT RARE Picture and Description:
UP AGAIN BECAUSE OF A NON PAYING LOSER. SEEMS LIKE EBAY IS CRAWLING WITH FLAKES AND SH#$BAGS LATELY SO IF YOU DON'T HAVE THE MONEY, OR NEED MOMMYS PERMISION TO BUY, PLEASE MAKE SURE THESE ARE COVERED BEFORE YOU BID. OR, IF YOUR JUST A DOUCHEBAG LIKE THE LAST GUY, PLEASE DON'T WASTE OUR TIME LISTING THIS RARE 1940 LINCOLN ZEPHYR COUPE FOR A FRIEND. I WILL PASS ON ANY QUESTIONS YOU HAVE, SO DON'T HESITATE TO ASK. HERE ARE HIS WORDS ON THE CAR: "Up for auction is something I never thought I'd sell. My 1940 5 window four passenger Zephyr coupe. This car is clearly a project car, however, given the limited number of cars that were ever produced and the even smaller amount of build able candidates out there, the value of this car should be obvious. WHAT YOU GET: 1940 Lincoln Zephyr coupe, complete with clear Oregon title. There is no interior (although it has its dash) or running gear, however the car is currently on my 18' Big Tex dual axle flatbed utility trailer that is included in the auction. The trailer comes with its own vehicle ramps and tie downs. Literally all you have to do is show up with the tow vehicle of your choice and drag it home. (or I can deliver it for a fee) LOTS OF EXTRAS! Also included in the auction are many extras, such as the two different split window back lights suitable for use if you choose to build a custom out of this car. (the last one of these cars that ran across the block at Barrett Jackson brought upwards of 1 MILLION dollars. Also, are smaller quarter windows ( I dont know what they are out of so dont bother asking ) a complete steering column (with box) from a 1937 ford - with an original banjo steering wheel. Many other extras included with this potentially show stopping custom. I hate to let it go, but I have too many other projects that need my attention at the moment, so my loss is your gain. It is always hard when selling a car like this, because one mans project is another mans basket case. To me, there is nothing intimidating or scary about the rust on this car, however, I am a retired body man who has built and customized cars for over 20 years. If you are scared by little rust bubbles in a quarter panel, please pass this car by, you WONT be happy with it. I found the car on a ranch in Oregon, in a ravine, parked up next to a dirt embankment (on the passenger side) that over time, did some obvious damage and will have to be repaired. that is why the sail panel looks the way it does, and that damage extends down (interiorly) to the bottom of the car. Make no mistake, it IS going to take a good amount of work to repair this. However its a 40 zephyr 5 window 4 passenger coupe. ITS WORTH SAVING! There are rust issues to deal with throughout the car, so please please PLEASE consider this when bidding. Also, apparently every idiot with a gun decided this car was suitable target practice so there are more than a couple bullet holes to fix. Unless you're a rat rodder and you're into that kinda look. In that case, all the work has already been done for you. As I said, just to be clear and so that no one is under any illusions that this is a perfect body that will only require minimal work, its NOT. You have your work cut out for you with this car, but again, given what it is, I feel its worth every second to salvage it! " SOLD AS IS WHERE IS. $500 NON REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT WITHIN 24HRS OF AUCTION END. FULL PAYMENT WITHIN 7 DAYS OF AUCTION END. SHIPPING IS ON BUYER. On Mar-27-12 at 23:11:49 PDT, seller added the following information: I HAVE HAD SOME QUESTIONS REGARDING THE TWO DIFFERENT PICTURE TIMES. THE ONES OF THE CAR ON THE GROUND AND THE NEW ONES I AM POSTING ARE OF THE CAR A YEAR AGO AND THE ONES WITH THE TARP SITTING ON A TRUCK CHASSIS ARE OF IT NOW AS IT SITS IN STORAGE. I ASSURE YOU THE CAR LOOKS THE SAME FROM THE FIRST PICTURES TO PRESENT. UNTIL LAST MONTH IT WAS SITTING IN A HEATED SHOP WAITING ITS TURN TO BE REBUILT. CIRCUMSTANCES HAVE CHANGED, AND THE OWNER WOULD RATHER SELL IT THEN SEE IT SIT IN STORAGE. IT IS PARKED BETWEEN OTHER VEHICLES MAKING IT DIFFICULT TO GET GOOD SIDE PICS. HENSE THE USE OF THE OLDER PICTURES. IT DOES NOT HAVE A CHASSIS, BUT DOES HAVE ALL THE FENDERS AND INNER FENDERS. IT WAS GOING TO GET A HANDFABRICATED MODERN CHASSIS. IF YOU ARE LOCAL OR KNOW SOMEONE LOCALLY AND WOULD LIKE TO COME SEE IT IN PERSON, JUST LET ME KNOW AND WE CAN DEFINITELY ARRANGE THAT.
